STAWI Hope of Africa is a community based organization that focuses on advocacy, empowering the young generation with relevant artistic and performance (CREATIVES) skills through knowledge access of culture, Mental health awareness campaign programs, Agriculture(Food security, Nutrition support and economic growth) counselling, motivation to open mindedness and attitude change as well as  education programs, including both performance and visual arts and psycho-social support for both the natives and immigrant youth in Uganda for better sustainability and social functioning.

How did we
get here?

Stawi Hope of Africa is a community based organization that is passionate about seeing families lifted out of poverty. We see poverty as a key reason for so many problems that people in communities encounter today (health, education, water, family). As we equip children and their families to move out of poverty through support, and creative training, the organization also have a focus on the spiritual journey our children/families will be walking through.

  • Stawi Hope of Africa delivers a holistic Child Development program. It’s our policy and expectation to protect children and transform communities/families where we operate. To achieve this, the strategy to operate in a conducive and friendly environment for Child Development is key.

oUR pROJECTS

STAWI HOPE OF AFRICA RUNS 2 PROJECTS

This builds emphasis on supporting a child in school both male and female and avail more to the girl child considering by nature, they have more needs.  This project exists with aims of tackling issues of child conflict, early marriage and teenage pregnancies, encouraging children and parents to engage in quality education, impact of wrong peers, social media and positive parental awareness. Stawi Hope of Africa also focuses on home and group training skills, sensitize about best health practices and self-management skills. The target geographical area: KASANJE TOWN COUNCIL targeting children and young adolescents of age 1-24 years in government schools, families and communities.

STAWI HOPE OF AFRICA is currently executing a project called “URBAN/BACKYARD FARMING” with aim of supporting food security, empowering nutrition to reduce the impact of malnutrition among children for the vulnerable poor among Families in Kasanje communities.

Under this very project, Stawi Hope of Africa also focuses on;

– Home and group training skills on urban/backyard farming sensitize about benefits of urban/backyard farming.
– Awareness about the benefits of a balanced diet (vegetable and fruit) inclusion to ones meal.
