Value a child and build a nation project

This builds emphasis on supporting a child in school both male and female and avail more to the girl child considering by nature, they have more needs.  This project exists with aims of tackling issues of child conflict, early marriage and teenage pregnancies, encouraging children and parents to engage in quality education, impact of wrong peers, social media and positive parental awareness. Stawi Hope of Africa also focuses on home and group training skills, sensitize about best health practices and self-management skills. The target geographical area: KASANJE TOWN COUNCIL targeting children and young adolescents of age 1-24 years in government schools, families and communities.


Objectives of this project
  • To have every child in the care of Stawi hope of Africa access quality educated to at least the level of being able to read and write. This is in support of children’s rights where every child has a right to education (fundamental right). ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, for both girls and boy  particularly for the disadvantaged children.
  • Formal Cognitive development, this is to foster critical thinking that is to say develop curricula that foster creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration skills among learners in preparation for future development.
  • Constructive interaction among children, while children in school it is important for them to interact and this is because children learn mostly through interaction with friends and this empowers their right to freedom of expression.
  • Monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness. This is to establish mechanisms to track progress, evaluate effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.

The activities of this project include; advocating for children’ rights and needs, sensitization of young adolescents (1-24 years), Mental health campaign awareness, training and skilling programs in self-management, craft making i.e. weaving, paper crafts, jewelry, cloth printing, tie and die, community assessment, community sanitation programs to mention but a few.
